What is Surf Buddy?
Surf Buddy anonymously tracks which websites you visit and which apps you use. This data helps Keypanel gain a better understanding of how people use the internet—for example, which websites are visited at certain times or when specific information is being searched for. Your personal data remains protected, as all recordings are fully anonymised.
How Does Surf Buddy Work?
By installing Surf Buddy, information about user behaviour is collected without any active involvement from you. Surf Buddy records, in a fully anonymised manner, which websites are visited and which apps are used. This data helps to gain a better understanding of online behaviour. The feature can be activated on mobile devices as well as through a browser interface.
How Can I Activate Surf Buddy?
Surf Buddy is available exclusively through a personal invitation via email. The invitation contains a link to a consent form, which you must confirm before use. After consenting, you will receive another email with a link to our Surf Buddy platform, which will guide you step by step through the installation process.
If you no longer wish to use Surf Buddy, you can withdraw your consent at any time by: uninstalling the tracking software on Android devices or in the browser, or adjusting the privacy settings on iOS devices accordingly.
