What is Buddy on the Road?
Buddy on the Road is a Keypanel App feature that allows for tracking users' movements at various locations, analysing their interactions with media, and evaluating their responses to advertising campaigns. The analysis of the collected location data is fully anonymised. Specific data is gathered, such as automatically collected device data, custom device data, as well as location and event data. Location data is only shared with third parties in conjunction with non-identifiable profile data or passive measurement data. This helps to identify location and traffic patterns, understand movement and digital behaviours, evaluate advertising campaigns, or target users for market research purposes.
How Does Buddy on the Road Work?
If you are at a specific store or event, you will receive a notification from us and can evaluate your experience on-site through a short survey. The surveys always relate to places or stores you have visited or are currently at.
How Can I Activate Buddy on the Road?
Activating Buddy on the Road is easy! Open the Keypanel app on your smartphone and enable the "Buddy on the Road" feature in the "Bonus Points" section. You can turn this feature on or off at any time. To view Buddy on the Road in the app, make sure you have the latest version of your operating system installed. If you don’t have the Keypanel app yet, you can download it from the Google Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iOS).
How Can I Manage Buddy on the Road in the App?
By activating Buddy on the Road in the app, you agree to our Buddy on the Road Privacy Policy and allow Keypanel to access your device’s location—whether the app is open or not. This ensures you don’t miss any surveys. If you no longer wish to share your location data through your device, you can withdraw your consent at any time by disabling the "Buddy on the Road" feature in the Keypanel app or adjusting the privacy settings on your device.
